Brian Ruttenbur joined the SageGuard Financial Group team in 2026 after more than three decades of Wall Street and corporate experience. His career has included leadership roles in equity research, investment banking, investor relations, business development, and corporate strategy.

Brian’s business approach is grounded in understanding each clients’ goals, needs, and risk tolerance, then developing a long-term financial plan. His interest in investing started while he was an officer in the United States Air Force helping Airmen and their families invest. Over time, this interest turned into a career. He earned national recognition as an equity research analyst, including multiple years on the Wall Street Journal’s Best on the Street Analyst Survey, Forbes/StarMine Analyst Rankings, and Thomson Reuters Analyst Rankings.

As clients think about growing assets, succession planning, retirement, or the eventual sale of a business, they face decisions that can have lasting consequences. Brian enjoys helping clients evaluate their options and prepare with confidence.

Brian moved to Hendersonville-Goodlettsville area in 1993 after serving in the United Stated Air Force (University of Tennessee undergraduate) and receiving a master’s in business from the University of Montana. Brian and his wife Debbie enjoy water sports, snow skiing, travel, and spending time with family. Clients who work with Brian can expect thoughtful guidance, direct communication, and a trusted seasoned perspective.
